How to Apply our Bare Mineral Cosmetics

Mineral Foundation and Concealer
1. It is always best to start off applying your makeup to clean, dry skin. For best results, use a good moisturizer prior to applying the foundation.

2. First, if you have areas you wish to conceal such as dark circles under the eyes, redness, or problem areas, apply the Concealer or lighter shade of foundation directly to these areas using a smaller brush (such as your eye shadow brush). Once this is done you are ready to apply the foundation.

3. Start by tapping a small amount of powder into the lid. It does not take much and it is always better to use too little than too much. You can always apply another layer if you want more coverage.

4. Swirl your brush in the lid working the powder into your brush.

5. Turn your brush upside down (bristles facing upwards) and tap the end lightly on your lid or countertop. This helps to settle the powder into the brush. You should not see powder left on the outside of the brush. (This keeps you from applying too much powder and getting a dry or chalky look.)

6. Using a circular motion, start applying the foundation starting on the outside of your face near your cheekbone, swirling as you go. Buff around your face and then approach your forehead, cheeks, and nose. Do this until you have achieved your desired coverage.

7. Following the directions above, load the blush brush with your choice color, gently tap your brush to settle the powder into the brush and apply. You can also blend colors together with other blush or eye colors to create custom colors of your own.

8. Finishing Powder is a translucent, silky powder that will add that smooth finished look to your makeup. Use after applying your blush. Our finishing powder is completely sheer and works to gently absorb oil and minimize the appearance of fine lines and pores. It can be used as desired throughout the day to freshen up your makeup.

Mineral Colors
Mineral Colors can be used in many different ways. First and foremost they are used as eye colors. However, you can also use them for eye liner, lip color, nail polish, and blush. They can also be mixed with other colors to create colors of your choice.

Eye Colors: To use as an eye color, tap a small amount of powder into the lid of your jar. Load your eye shadow brush and tap off any excess. Apply as desired.

Eye Liners: Wet an eyeliner brush with water and dip this into your Mineral Color. Mix this together in the lid of your jar. Use more water as needed. Usually the darker colors are used, but any color will work.

Mascara: Wet a Mascara brush with water and dip this into your Mineral Color. Mix this together in the lid of your jar. Use more water as needed. Usually the darker colors are used, but any color will work.

Lip Colors: Mix the Mineral Color with clear lip gloss and apply to your lips. Blend colors together and create new shades.

Nail Polish: Using a good quality clear nail polish, dip a loaded brush in loose powder and polish onto nails. You can also mix loose powder(s) into colored or clear nail polish to create fantastic custom colors. NOTE: Should you dip a nail polish brush into a Mineral Color, do NOT then use that same jar for any other use (i.e. as eyeshadow, mascara, blush or any other skin area).
